Abstract

The article briefly reviews the problems related to the teaching of informatics in Russian schools. Recognizing the importance of basic problems, such as providing schools with computers and determining the number of academic hours that should be dedicated to informatics, the article focuses on other problems: the insufficient competence of teachers, and the lack of integration of the professional community.
